FAQs
What can I expect from therapy?
We will begin with an assessment to explore your difficulties, decide on your goals of therapy, and discuss which modality would be best suited to your needs. During the assessment, I will ask questions to gain a comprehensive understanding of your historical and current difficulties as well as their impact on your behaviour, relationship with others, and work or schooling. After the assessment is complete, we will begin the intervention. The intervention will be tailored to your needs, and regular review sessions will be held to discuss whether you are finding the sessions helpful, whether your initial goals continue to feel relevant, and how to get the most out of the remaining sessions.
Do you offer assessment services for ASD, ADHD, or IQ (intellectual ability)?
How much does therapy or an assessment cost?
Will the therapy be online or in person?
Will what I say in therapy be shared with others?
I am currently affiliated with the Child Development Team, Hong Kong. Please enquire with the Child Development Team about pricing.
Therapy sessions are confidential spaces, meaning that whatever you say in the therapy room will not be shared with people outside of myself and my team. The only exception is when I believe there is a risk or safeguarding concern to yourself or to others. In such circumstances, I will first share the concerns with you to explore how best to manage the situation and may divulge necessary information with relevant professionals, such as your GP.
Yes, I provide ASD, ADHD, and cognitive assessments for intellectual ability. In addition, I am able to offer post-diagnostic support and psychoeducation for the individual, their family, and their wider network e.g. school after an assessment.
I offer both online and in-person therapy sessions.
